Hurricane Dorian Relief Continues through Sunday, September 22nd

The suffering in the Bahamas from Hurricane Dorian is unimaginable and, as our own Bishop wrote in a pastoral letter to the Diocese, “we have been spared so that we can serve.”  Trinity Episcopal Church will be a part of a Financial Relief Effort spearheaded by the Diocese of Central Florida. All the funds collected will be sent via electronic wire to the Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas & Turks and Caicos Islands and will be distributed as the need arises. You can contribute to this relief with a financial gift to, "Trinity Episcopal Church" that is earmarked, "Bahama Relief". You can drop your donation in the collection plate during services or mail a check to the Church office.  You can also donate on Trinity’s website via PayPal under our “Giving” page; but be sure to add a note for “Bahama Relief” when prompted. God has been so good to us, please be generous in a spirit of thankfulness and Christian Charity.

In addition, Missionary Flights International is making two, sometimes three, flights a day to deliver food, medicine and hygiene items to the people in the Bahamas. Trinity will continue actively collecting items for this mission through Sunday, September 22nd.  Still needed are baby supplies, basic medical items (pain relievers, bandages, antibiotic ointments), personal hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant) and canned food with pop top lids. Please bring any items you wish to donate to the Church office on Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  You can also bring your items to any of this weekend’s Church services. If you have any questions, please call Bruce and Janet Barkett at 772-778-1517 or email Janet at jjbarkett@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Foyer Groups beginning this Fall

This Fall Trinity will be introducing a new program: Foyer Groups. Foyer Groups are informal social dinner groups that meet once a month in people’s homes purely for the purpose of Christian fellowship, meeting new parishioners and building a strong community. Groups are limited to 8-10 people at each home, with a different member of the group hosting each month. Adult singles and couples are welcome. If you like to eat, socialize and share good fun with fellow Christians, then Foyer Groups are for you!

If you are interested in joining a Foyer Group, please sign up on the bulletin boards after the services, complete a Friendship Form and deposit it in the collection plate during the service or email Kathy Rodriguez at krodriguez@trinityvero.org. There will be a Kickoff Potluck dinner in the Parish Hall in late October where you will learn more about Foyer Groups. In addition, you will learn who is in your Foyer Group. The dinners will start in January and will continue through April.

Trinity’s Youth Group

Trinity offers a Youth Group for young adults, grades 6 through 12. The Youth Group meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. The youth have dinner, play games, and have Biblical discussions.

Trinity’s youth group is engaging and Christ-centered, focused on imparting the love and knowledge of God. We use games and discussion-based teaching to serve our students. Our prayerful desire is for our students to then take the Good News of the Gospel and introduce it to their communities. We welcome all Middle and High School youth, from those who are merely curious about God to those who have a full-fledged desire to follow him. If you have any questions, please contact Fr. Josh Gritter in the Church office at 772-567-1146 or through email at jgritter@trinityvero.org.
