The Training Choir (Kindergarten - Grade 1)

The Training Choir gives younger school-aged children a choir experience while the child is only starting to learn to read words. Rehearsing for 30 minutes, the choristers receive early training in how to control their breath, listening from the piano to correctly pitch notes with their voices, recognizing simple musical symbols, and learning simple sacred songs. The Choir sings three times a year in Church, including the Christmas Eve pageant. The Training Choir will resume rehearsing on Saturday, January 20, at 4 pm.  All rehearsals are held in the Choir Room in the Music Building.
